Accessibility Statement
Lotus Disability
Lotus Disability is built by and for people living with disabilities, so an accessible website is not a nice-to-have for us. It is the point. We want everyone who comes to Lotus to find what they need, use every feature, and get help easily, whatever tools or assistive technology they rely on.
Our commitment
We are working to make our website and member experience accessible to as many people as possible. That includes people who navigate with a keyboard, use screen readers or magnification, rely on captions, or need to adjust text size, spacing, or color.
How we approach accessibility
As we design and build Lotus, we work to:
- Use clear structure and headings so pages are easy to move through
- Write descriptive text for images and links
- Keep color contrast readable
- Support keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator
- Label forms and buttons clearly
- Keep our language plain and easy to follow
Conformance status
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most widely used to measure web accessibility. Our site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA, which means some parts may not yet meet every requirement. We review and improve as we go.
Content from other providers
Our website runs on the Squarespace platform, and some features, along with content from our partners and other outside providers, are not fully within our control. We choose partners who share our commitment to accessibility, and we raise issues with providers when we find them. If you hit a barrier on a page or tool that connects to another company, please still tell us, and we will help.
Where we are still working
Even with ongoing effort, some content may fall short of the standard we set for ourselves. If you find something that is hard to use, we want to know, so we can fix it and check for anything similar across the site.

If you can, include the page or feature, what happened, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within two business days. If you need help finishing something in the meantime, tell us and we will find another way to get it to you.
An ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We test as we build, listen to our members, and keep improving. This is part of how we hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our partners.
